This cabinet was made in late 19th century Shandong China. Butterfly represents happy, beautiful and health life in Chinese culture and butterfly shape was a common design for small to medium sized cabinets. This piece has sturdy and balanced structure. Clear and artistic woodcarving reflects the elaborate carpentry skills. Well maintained for century, this cabinet has developed beautiful patina and the original fittings survived. Two spacious drawers and a double door compartment provide extra space for storage. This cabinet is wonderful for a modern space to add a little oriental vintage taste.
